Ok, now its hard to know what to do. This big white puppy, is bigger than me now. Sometimes he acts like he's the boss-dog. And sometimes he acts like a baby. And when he decides to PLaY. You either gotta play with him, or run really, really fast and go somewhere else. Wow, he is big. He's pretty fun now, though, can run a little bit, not really fast like me. And he likes to play and play. And that's fun. Look at me, I'm getting gray...

That new boy is runnin' faster now, not so clumsy like before. He's tall like me now, and uses me for a chew toy. Sometimes he's too much. Bites hard. Hurts. Topaz gets mad when New boy bites too hard. Then New boy gets mad too. Then our person roars, "STOP. NOW!!" and they do, then its peaceful again. Though it worries me when she roars. I don't like it much.

since we went to that park where there's only fake dinosaurs, I haven't gone anywhere. much more relaxing when its too, too, too HOT. its not so HOT now, and that new dog is getting to be a fun person. We play in the morning, and in the evening. You can see he's getting bigger. {16 weeks old now--ed}

We didn't even get to see those famous dinosaur tracks. Mikey wimped out and laid down in the river, so we didn't go over there where they said these dinosaurs left feet prints. I leave pawprints in the mud, but these guys made theirs in the rocks-- whoa!! that's big ol' feet!

here's me and Mikey with a fake dinosaur. Not even a dead one. My nose says its a fake. Good thing, because that fence wouldn't hold anybody that big. i can climb out of our fence and its way higher than this one.

Dinosaur Valley State Park

people. its hundreds of degrees of hot, like where they bake cookies in, and they make you go for walks in strange places. i was excited because she said it was a picnic. but it was hot hot hot. but then there was the river of cool water. my paws liked it a lot. The new boy, lay down in it. and got all the sympathy from the people who came by us. people get so silly over him cause he's a puppy. But then we went back to the car and I got in the car cause sometimes it blows cold air--and it will go home with me in it.

I guess I forgot that I wasn' goin to play with the new boy. I don't understand, I thought he was the same siZe like the little dogs. Now he's almost big. But he can't run fast. He's slow and his feet go clunk, thump when he tries to run. We played a little today til i took off running. Plus he's all the time falling over. Don't know if he thinks that's funny, or if he's clumsy.

I guess it'll be ok if this young pup stays. He's pretty respectful, so far...but he keeps getting bigger. First he was the same size as the little dogs. Now he's halfway up to me. I don't think he likes to run fast just for fun. He seems to mostly like to fall down on a little dog for fun. Never saw a game like that before. I think he's getting bigger because he stretches so much while he's sleeping. Its ok he likes to sleep in front of the fan, but he always lays down on and plugs the cold air vents. and then it stays hot. that's no good.

more puppy

I dunno about this puppy. He's awfully big for such a baby. He's not hyper like that other puppy.[she means the cocker] He sleeps alot and is pretty polite when he's awake. maybe he'll be another friend. it sure is crowded here sometimes. he calls this his self portrait. he does look worried a lot of the time, like he has lots on his mind. don't know why, he gets dinner umpteen times a day, and rawhides and bones and treats for coming when she calls him. what's he got to worry about?

the new dog

Ok, now she's really done it. As if a herd of cocker spaniels wasn't enough. Now there's this white dog the size of the cockers, but acts like a baby. i don't play with him. I don't know why he is here. Maybe he will go away. That would be good. She says he will help me guard this place. HAH!! He is a baby. Besides I don't need help. I am very very scary by my own self. Ask anybody that comes to the gate here.

sincerely, TigerLily.

summer hot

it is hot. and itchy. I'm not sure, but I think I believe that is because of the little dogs. there are many of them and they can drive me crazy, so it probably is because of them that it is so hot. And itchy. It is nice and cool in the big house. I like the cool floor. but sometimes it becomes awfully crowded where I am-- the little dogs are very friendly. They don't know its better to be friendly in the winter. [sighhhh] I think there used to be a big thing you could lay down in with water in it, could also splash with big splashings! not any more.

never alone

This is me, (do I say my name again?) Tiger Lily. that's the name of an indian princess in an old book about a peterpan. whatever that is. You may not know about these things, but its very tiring sometimes living with lots of cocker spaniels. they want to play, they use me for a chew toy, and a jungel gym and I like to play chase, but they're little and fat and so they get tired prtty fast, while I'm still warming up to really run. At least its never lonely around here.

fort worth nature center

a long time ago, (about 3 weeks, editor). we also went to the fort worth nature center. it was nice, the path was muddy, and we had a picnic and walked and walked and walked. up a big hill and looked far away. there was lots of birds flying and squeaking over the river, and...this was weird, there were funny noises from the water they said was frogs? made lots of noise and we walked on a wooden sidewalk over the water. I like picnics. a lot. myfriendjudy sneaks me lots of treats when my person's not looking. cause my person says I have a syndrome behind me. (editor's note: tiger lily suffers from "wide-butt-syndrome" or wbs)

trinity river, fort worth

Well, last week, we went to part of the Trinity River Park in Fort Worth they said. I dunno. the river was nice, though we didn't get in it. there were some big birds down there fishing. Not with poles. lots of people, very tall people put their hands way up high, and then whooshed them down at my head. it was very scary, and everyone said they just wanted to pet the nice doggy. i tried to hide behind my person but they were all around in a circle, with veery big hands. one person kept bouncing a basketball right in front of me in a very threatening manner. I liked looking at the ducks and squirrels. The train ride was very scary at first too, but then I got the hang of it and had a really good time sniffing interesting smells. plus the road had gotten hot, so it was nice to sit down in the train. My person said I was very very brave. and I think she's right.

Sunday walk

I went for a walk yesterday at the hospital. seems a funny place, but its a nice walk. lots of people and other dogs have been there, so there's plenty of interesting smells to smell. A French Bulldog passed us, but I was pretty tired, not interested in small dogs who think they're really big. No squirrels, but lots of trees, hm, wonder why.
